"Police Bust Local Drug Dealer"
style: headline
source: The Seven Hills Herald
date: Jan 13th, 2005
Rome, Ga - Local authorities managed to take down one of the area's most influential drug lords, the infamous Cole Washington, also know by the alias King Cole. Mr.
Washington has been evading arrest for months on suspicion of distribution, but was caught yesterday evening when authorities recieved a tip off from what they believe to be one of Mr. Washington's former associates who was believed to have been murdered just under a week ago.

style: hearsay
source: Coosa County club, similar social circles.
date: first week of January
The gossip on the words of Rome's social elite is that Brian Freedman, a local pianist and performing artist, has let his drug addiction overwhelm him. From what's being bantered about, Brian was seen near downtown's infamous "Opera Alley" only a few nights ago, rambling to himself and speaking to someone who wasn't there. At least one person, Jacob S. Harbin, swears to have seen Brian leave the alley, dripping with flesh blood and carrying an foul-smelling briefcase, but Jacob won't dare comment further for fear of people questioning why he was even near the scene...
Some of Rome's most prominent news sources are listed below for storyteller and player reference:
Seven Hills Herald - Rome's and Floyd County's most wide-spread news paper. The Herald is a pretty liberal news source, printing just about anything that'll sell more copies, unless of course it'll offend the "old money" that's helped it get where it is.
Channel 13 Local News - Rome's source for late night news, Channel 13 News covers important stories throughout Floyd County and the surrounding area. No story is too shocking for them to cover, as it just means a ratings boost.
Roman Radio - Broadcast from Rome's downtown K98 radio station, Roman Radio usually only covers major news updates, filling the rest of their air time with annoying pop music and wacky DJs. However late at night they do host a show called "The Witching Hour" where listeners call in with true stories of strange happenings.
